Glendale Knights
The Glendale Knights Baseball Program (Knights) was developed by the Glendale Little League (GLL) to provide girls and boys with the opportunity to practice and play baseball at an advanced level. The Knights (U9 through U14) compete in the Wisconsin State Youth Baseball League against local teams as well as participate in local/regional tournaments. In addition, a U8 Knights Academy team is offered to build a foundation for the years ahead. We promote competitive baseball with emphasis on skill development, sportsmanship, and positive community representation.
While there are other local youth baseball club-teams available in the area, the Knights organization is set apart from other teams and private clubs in the following ways. The Knights:
• Encourage players to strive to be multi-sport athletes
• Are a not-for-profit organization run solely by volunteers allowing for lower fees/dues
• Are coached by a group of skilled and passionate volunteer coaches
• Offer year-round training, in well maintained facilities, with opportunities for indoor practices in the winter
• Allow players from the local community to play and mature together
On the field, the Knights focus on player skill development. We believe wins will result when the entire team grows and contributes. Players will get the opportunity to practice/play multiple positions within their skill set and all players will play in each game. The batting order is continuous, meaning all players will come to bat in each game.
The Knights program is available to all kids in the North Shore area and surrounding communities. Knights players are required to participate in the Glendale Little League, furthering the bond between all of our baseball players within the Glendale, Bayside, Fox Point, and River Hills communities.
